Manuel Taranto was born on September 15, 1992, in Monza (Italy). His passion for music started at an early age when he used to play with pans and spoons while listening to rock music. When he turned 6 years old his parents, eager for him to use his then obvious gift, sent him to learn drums in private classes and he later joined the Academy lead by Gabriele Boria. At age 17, desiring to bring his technique to a higher level he studies with Maxx Furian.
Manuel never lost any of his precious time: he started to perform live since he was 12 years old, in official concerts and as busker, and he still plays live concerts with a large number of musicians, both Italian or from other countries. Among the most famous names he played with Toto Cotugno, Annalisa Minetti, Ashlot,Sara Taccardi,Romina Daniele,Viola Valentino, Davide De Marinis, Julim Barbosa, Nico Battaglia, Andrea Cariati, Voci Di Sion e Gipsy Kings,Tribute Band U2, Lysa Maff.
Very much appreciated and praised not only on live shows he has also recorded with different artists listed here: Viola Valentino "I tacchi di Giada" (2009), with Ashlot "Blu" (2012), with Julim Barbosa ''Sound Of Spirit'' e with Cutugno and Minetti for the single record "Ancora Vita" (2013).In 2014 he manages to go on a European Tour for seven months with Msc Cruises.
Understanding how the musical world is very much alive on digital platforms he’s been engaged for quite a few years on some social networks performing drums covers of famous songs for which he has received praises, at times even from the very same authors, including the known rapper Dà T.R.U.T.H. and the famous musician Lou Bega.
Perfectly grounded in the Italian school that distinguishes itself for the versatility of its musicians, Manuel is able to play many genres from Blues to Latin, from R&B to Reggae, making versatility his strong trade. He has been privately tutoring since 2013 and his students are ever increasing.
As he always says: Very few people are lucky enough to do as a job what they love and he’s determined not to waste a minute of his life. Only God knows what the future has for him but he knows the language that will help him to understand it: MUSIC.
